NADMA: Another fatality from heat stroke has been reported in Kelantan

According to the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), a second death from heat stroke was reported this week, bringing the total number of heat-related deaths to two. The most recent fatality occurred on April 1 in Kelantan and involved a three-year-old child. The first death took place on February 2 in Pahang and involved a 22-year-old individual.

As of April 3, there have been a total of 37 cases of heat-related illnesses, including 10 cases of heat stroke, 26 cases of heat exhaustion, and one case of heat convulsions. Perak and Kedah each recorded eight cases, with five cases in Johor, four in Negeri Sembilan and Sabah, three in Selangor, two in Perlis, and one case each in Pahang, Penang, and Kelantan.
