Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has instructed CIMB bank and Maybank to provide a comprehensive explanation of the root causes behind recent service disruptions affecting debit cards, online banking and ATM services.
In a statement released last night, the central bank highlighted that both banks must also outline the corrective and preventive measures implemented to prevent similar issues in the future.
Both banks have since restored normal banking services.
